ABOUT THIS TOUR
Discover the charming city of Rovaniemi and meet Santa Claus in his village office. This tour is an excellent opportunity to immerse in the local culture and go on guided sightseeing.
Welcome to Rovaniemi, the Capital of Finnish Lapland and the most popular winter resort! Let us take you through the town and show you the most exciting places. Learn more about Finnish history, discover the city's highlights and find out how can you make the most out of your holiday in Rovaniemi. This charming town is best known as the official home of Santa Claus, where Christmas magic lives year round.
After the sightseeing, we will travel to the countryside, to the official village of Santa Claus. There we'll take you to meet Santa Claus in his office. He's usually busy packing presents and sharing Christmas joy, but you will have an exclusive chance of meeting him while he's on the break! Of course, he would never complete all his work without the help of his elves. Not only they make toys in their workshop, but they also work in the Elves' Post Office.
We'll take you to the Posti, an Official Santa's Post Office where you can write letters to friends and send them using unique Arctic Stamp. Send your friends holiday cheer straight from the Arctic Circle! After the post office, it's time for the Arctic Circle Crossing ceremony. The Arctic Circle runs through Rovaniemi, and you can cross it right there in Santa’s Village. The legend says that Arctic Circle is a stress-free zone and that the northern you go the happier you become. The fun part is getting the certificate of the crossing.
And of course we will have time for souvenirs and shops, there are a lot of them! The Santa Village is rightly called the best place for shopping in Rovaniemi.

Rovaniemi - The rova part in the name Rovaniemi has often been considered to be of Saamic origin, as roavve in Saami denotes a forested ridge or hill or the site of an old forest fire.

The Jätkänkynttilä, or Lumberjack Candle Bridge, is probably the most significant and easily recognizable landmark of the cityscape.

FAQ
(See all questions and answers here)A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email. If you think you have made a booking and have not received an email confirmation, please send us an e-mail with an inquiry through our contact form, and we will figure this out together.
You can pay through the internet, through our website. This is by far the easiest, safest and fastest way to reserve and pay for your adventure. You will receive a voucher as a confirmation via e-mail which you will need to bring with you for your trip. You will always get a voucher by email: REMEMBER TO PRINT IT OUT AND BRING IT ALONG OR MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN SHOW IT ON YOUR ELECTRONIC DEVICE!
There are a few different ways you can book our trips. First of all, you can book almost all our trips right here on our website. There is a booking window on each tour page and we do recommend that you book and pay for your trip there, preferably in good time as we keep our groups small and some tours tend to sell out.
If the trip you would like to book is not bookable online, you can call or email our office directly, the phone number is +358 40 744 2567. Another way is to send us an e-mail with an inquiry through our contact form. What we need to have is your name, how many people are in your party, where you are staying, a way of contacting you either an e-mail or a phone number and what tour you are trying to book.
This is a nice question. We ask all participants to be ready from the start of the pickup time indicated in the voucher. Please be at your assigned location at the start time that you chose when booking the tour.
Here you should wait for your guide. Have your email and phone number listed with us so we can contact you if we run into any trouble finding you.
Most of our tours (please see specifications under each tour) include transfers from accommodation in Rovaniemi city area. It is included in the adventure price. Transfers from accommodation places located further out from the city (for example Arctic Snow Hotel, Apukka Resort, Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge Resort) can be arranged at an additional cost.
The pick up is usually 5-20 min before the start of the safari (time in your voucher). Transportation back is immediately after the end of the safari.
We try to provide exact pickup time one day before the start of the tour by email or text message/whats-app, which is why it is important that you provide your valid email and phone number when booking a tour.
