The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and unfortunately, their appearance can never be guaranteed. Our guides do everything possible to maximize your chances, including checking forecasts, choosing the best locations, and sharing their expertise about the Aurora.
However, the cost of the tour covers much more than just the chance to see the lights - it includes professional guiding, transportation, hot drinks, campfire experiences, storytelling, and the unique atmosphere of being in the Arctic wilderness at night. For this reason, refunds are not provided if the Northern Lights do not appear.
We truly appreciate your understanding and hope the overall experience will still be a magical and memorable part of your Lapland adventure.
Please be on time! Our tours follow a strict schedule, and if you miss the hotel pick-up, you will not be able to join later. Arriving separately by taxi or private car is usually not possible, as it may disrupt the program and group safety. Plan ahead — we appreciate your understanding.
Yes - there will be opportunities to interact with the reindeer, take photos, and in some cases, feed them with special lichen provided by the herders. Please always follow the instructions of the staff for the safety and comfort of both guests and animals.
The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are a natural phenomenon and their appearance can never be guaranteed. Their visibility depends entirely on clear skies (lack of cloud cover) and sufficient solar activity. Our tours are meticulously planned during the optimal season and take you to prime viewing locations away from city light pollution to maximize your chances, but nature remains unpredictable.
Dress warmly! You’ll be outdoors for much of the tour. We recommend wearing thermal underwear, a fleece or wool mid-layer, a winter jacket and pants, a warm hat, gloves or mittens, and insulated boots. Temperatures can be cold, especially in December and January.
The sleigh ride is gentle and not physically demanding, but guests who are pregnant or have medical conditions should consult their doctor before participating. The sleighs move smoothly, but uneven snowy terrain may cause slight bumps.
Feel free to bring your own phone or camera, and ask the guide to help take photos of you with the reindeer or during the sleigh ride. While professional photos are not included, guides are happy to assist. Please note: Drones are not allowed during the tour, as they can disturb or frighten the animals and affect the peaceful atmosphere of the farm.
