Frequently asked questions

(See all questions and answers here)
A:

For safety reasons, only guests aged 17 and older may drive the sled. Driving requires physical strength, coordination, and quick decision-making, which our guides assess carefully. If a participant (adult or minor) cannot safely control the sled, the guide may restrict driving privileges and arrange alternative participation.

A:

Absolutely! Solo travelers and groups with an odd number of participants are welcome. We may pair you with another guest or have you join the guide’s sled to maximize safety and experience. If you prefer a private sled, please contact our sales team for options.

A:

Feel free to bring your own phone or camera, and ask the guide to help take photos of you with the reindeer or during the sleigh ride. While professional photos are not included, guides are happy to assist. Please note: Drones are not allowed during the tour, as they can disturb or frighten the animals and affect the peaceful atmosphere of the farm.

A:

Please be on time! Our tours follow a strict schedule, and if you miss the hotel pick-up, you will not be able to join later. Arriving separately by taxi or private car is usually not possible, as it may disrupt the program and group safety. Plan ahead — we appreciate your understanding.

A:

Some of our tours are family-friendly and suitable for children and infants, including this 5km tour. It’s important to dress children very warmly, as they are more vulnerable to cold and frostbite. If temperatures drop below -20 °C (-4 °F), we may modify the tour to accommodate the coldest or youngest participants for their safety.

A:

Sometimes, but not reliably. Puppies are typically born in spring and grow quickly before winter. Our kennel focuses on the dogs’ welfare and does not time litters for tourist viewing. If seeing puppies is a priority, we recommend booking with a kennel that specifically offers that experience.

A:

The sleigh ride is gentle and not physically demanding, but guests who are pregnant or have medical conditions should consult their doctor before participating. The sleighs move smoothly, but uneven snowy terrain may cause slight bumps.

A:

Dress warmly! You’ll be outdoors for much of the tour. We recommend wearing thermal underwear, a fleece or wool mid-layer, a winter jacket and pants, a warm hat, gloves or mittens, and insulated boots. Temperatures can be cold, especially in December and January.
