Huskies are not born fit, it takes lots of preparation and conditioning before the dogs are as fit as they can be. Visit the kennel and get a feel for how the dogs are prepared to be the amazing athletes they are.

Immerse yourself in the true energy of the Arctic with our exclusive November Born to Run Morning Husky Tour from Rovaniemi. This unique adventure offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the untamed passion of huskies for running at the very beginning of the winter season, when Lapland's first snow blankets the forests, and the dogs are bursting with energy after their summer break.
Upon arrival at our traditional husky farm, you'll immediately feel the electrifying atmosphere: the friendly dogs, eagerly awaiting the start, fill the air with anticipation. Professional mushers will introduce you to the world of huskies, sharing insights into their breed, training, and incredible ability to thrive and work in the harsh Arctic conditions. You'll learn about the traditions of dog sledding and the special bond between a musher and their team.
After a brief safety briefing and sled-driving instructions, you'll embark on an unforgettable journey through the snow-covered forest. Take the reins and drive your own husky team, or relax as a passenger in a sled expertly guided by your musher. Driven by instinct and the sheer joy of running, the huskies will pull you along picturesque trails, creating a sense of complete unity with Lapland's wilderness. The November landscapes, covered in fresh snow, lend a special, serene ambiance to the safari.
Following your exhilarating outdoor adventure, you'll return to the farm for a well-deserved warm-up around a crackling campfire. Here, you can relax and enjoy hot drinks, typically coffee, tea, and berry juice, along with traditional Lappish snacks. It's the perfect moment to share your experiences and get all your questions about huskies and the Arctic answered by our knowledgeable guides.

PICK UP TIME AND PLACE
You will be able to choose your pickup location when you make the booking. We only offer pickups from certain collective meeting points within the Rovaniemi area. Pickups begin approximately one hour before the starting time of the tour. Make sure this does not conflict with your schedule.
During pick up driver will look for you by your name in the reception area of the informed hotel.
Please inform us of your mobile phone number, in case we need to contact you on the day of the tour.
TEENAGER CATEGORY
Only adults (age 17+) will be allowed to self-drive. Guests between the ages of 13-16 are considered teenagers. Teenagers are not eligible to drive the cart or sled themselves and will be required to sit in the cart or sled of the guide.
Feel free to bring your own phone or camera, and ask the guide to help take photos of you with the reindeer or during the sleigh ride. While professional photos are not included, guides are happy to assist. Please note: Drones are not allowed during the tour, as they can disturb or frighten the animals and affect the peaceful atmosphere of the farm.
Please be on time! Our tours follow a strict schedule, and if you miss the hotel pick-up, you will not be able to join later. Arriving separately by taxi or private car is usually not possible, as it may disrupt the program and group safety. Plan ahead — we appreciate your understanding.
The tour includes an exhilarating 4-kilometer husky drive. By default, this is conducted with a husky cart through the early winter landscape. However, if there is sufficient early snow in November, the tour will be conducted with sleds instead of carts, providing an equally thrilling experience. You will have the opportunity to self-drive your team or ride as a passenger.
No prior experience in husky driving is required for this tour. Our professional mushers provide comprehensive safety instructions and clear driving guidance before you start. They ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident, making it an enjoyable experience for beginners and seasoned adventurers alike.
Proper warm winter clothing is essential for comfort in Arctic conditions. For this husky tour, specialized Arctic outer protective clothing (thermal overalls, boots, gloves, and helmets) IS PROVIDED to ensure you stay warm throughout the outdoor activities. We highly recommend wearing multiple warm layers underneath, including thermal underwear, a mid-layer (fleece or wool), and warm socks.
Sometimes, but not reliably. Puppies are typically born in spring and grow quickly before winter. Our kennel focuses on the dogs’ welfare and does not time litters for tourist viewing. If seeing puppies is a priority, we recommend booking with a kennel that specifically offers that experience.
