  • Bucket List Moment: Stepping into the icy water is more than just a challenge – it’s a celebration of courage and presence. Many describe it as a moment of clarity and exhilaration, a story to tell for years.
  • Winter Adaptation: In winter conditions with deep snow, participants may also opt for a refreshing roll in the snow, a common practice after a warm sauna. This activity provides a unique sensory contrast.
  • Guided & Safe: Your guide will explain everything and ensure the process is safe and comfortable. You’ll be able to try it at your own pace – no pressure, just opportunity.

No, ice swimming is completely optional - but definitely a bucket list Arctic adventure for the bold! Many guests prefer to simply relax in the warm sauna and watch others take the plunge. You’re welcome to enjoy the experience at your own pace and comfort level.

Authentic Finnish sauna and lunch!

January 27, 2020



My friend and I had the best experience with Tetiana! She picked us up from a central location in Rovaniemi and drove us to their private home just outside of Rovaniemi. Her knowledge of the Finnish culture was amazing and we learnt so much! The sauna was a traditional Finnish sauna (only 150 of these left in Finland!) and we had this to ourselves. Towels, slippers and tea were provided. We went ice swimming in their private late and as recommended made snow angels! Tetiana then made us an amazing traditional Finnish lunch which was the best meal we'd had in Finland throughout our travels. Tetiana was really accommodating and took photos for us and dropped us back at our accomodation. This was my favourite experience in Rovaniemi and would love to do it again! Thanks Tetiana.

Authentic sauna and swim in the icy lake experience with a great salmon dinner afterwards

Way more authentic than an electrical sauna! Now I know what I have missed out on before. We were only 4 persons - two very friendly Australians, my sister and I. I did jump in the icy lake several times - which is a true miracle for someone who normally thinks the water during summer is too cold - and it was not that bad after the hot, great sauna experience. My sister and I will never forget this unique experience in a very private atmosphere far from other tourist traps. Thank you, Tanja, for giving us a splendid salmon dinner in your private home afterwards and for being the best host teaching us a lot about Lapland. A memory for life - I highly recommend it!

One in a while experience for sauna and wonderful

Me and my friends booked with them through positive comments from TripAd about the place. Once we there, we started to understand why do they deserve it. Alex and Tanya's house were in the middle surrounded by great Lapland nature. We highly recommended the tour because after the sauna and dipping in cold water we had a great night sleep and thought that it was best decision to book them.

Give your self some Finnish Sauna and experienced Finland nature.

Атмосферная финская сауна посреди леса рядом с озером, в которое можно сразу окунуться после. Так же безумно вкусный традиционный ужин. Спасибо огромное ребятам!
