ABOUT THIS TOUR

Like a mix between windsurfing and kayaking, paddle boarding is the perfect way to be on the water. Today paddleboarding has gone mainstream and is an amazing full-body workout that improves your core strength, cardio fitness, balance, and flexibility with virtually no impact.

Stand up Paddle board (SUP) has become one of the most popular outdoor activities in the past few years. Either if you are going paddle boarding for the first time or you know what you are doing, we have got every thing you need. There are various modes of stand up paddling, including flat water paddling, fitness, or surfing on waves, and even SUP Yoga.

We offer you a basic handy model to test your skills.

Our boards come with a backpack for the board when deflated and rolled up, as well as a paddle that splits down into smaller pieces when packing away. The benefit of an inflatable SUP is that you can default it, roll it up and put it in the trunk or boot of your car.

With only a little instruction, most beginners are able to stand up and start paddling shortly after taking a SUP out for the very first time. To get you started, here are some tips on:

  • Standing up
  • Balance
  • Falling and getting back on

Practice this technique for standing up:

  • Stand alongside the board in about knee-deep water (just deep enough that the fins on the board don’t hit the bottom).
  • Hold the board by the edges and work your way onto the board in a kneeling position, just behind the center point of the board (you can quickly locate the center of the board by finding the carry handle).
  • Keep your hands on the sides of the board to stabilize it and move one foot at a time to place your feet where your knees were.
  • Rather than standing up in one motion, start by raising your chest up while keeping your knees bent. Once your chest is vertical, extend your legs to stand up.

Once you’re standing, there are a handful of things you can do to maintain your balance on the board:

  • Position your feet so they are parallel, about hip-width distance apart, and centered between the edges of the board.
  • Keep your toes pointed forward, knees slightly bent and your back straight.
  • Keep your head and shoulders steady and upright, and shift your weight by moving your hips.
  • Your gaze should be level at the horizon. Avoid staring at your feet.

To ensure you have the best time on your SUP use our top paddle boarding tips to avoid making the common SUP mistakes.

  • DO: Always hold the paddle with one hand on the top of the handle and the other on the shaft.
  • DON’T: hold the paddle like a broomstick, with both hands on the shaft.
  • DO: Keep your feet parallel, spread shoulder width apart, and your toes pointed toward the nose.
  • DON’T: Get in a surf stance – everyone wants to, but that makes paddling on the flat water ten times harder. Plus, you will fall. Save your surf stance for the surf.
  • DO: Make sure your grip on the paddle is shoulder width apart — short grips will give you a powerless stroke.
  • DON’T: Only use your arms – you’ll get tired faster and not paddle efficiently. Let your big back muscles do the brunt of the work.
  • DO: Dip the blade fully into the water and take a long stroke, letting your large back muscles do the work.

Frequently asked questions

(See all questions and answers here)
Q:

- How long will SUP take to learn?

A:

It’s not uncommon for first-time paddlers to stand up and paddle within 20 minutes. The ease of learning this sport attracts a wide range of ages from the very young (kids) to the very mature (seniors), and a wide range of skills from novice to seasoned athlete.

Q:

- Where Can I Paddle?

A:

Rivers, lakes, oceans, creeks and ponds — wherever there is water deeper than your longest fin.

Q:

- What happens if my SUP hits a dock or debris?

A:

Not much is going to happen. Our boards are built tough. Hitting a dock or some logs or branches will likely only leave a scuff on your board.

I would suggest staying away from particularly sharp objects or don’t drag the board on gravel.

Q:

- Can i take my dog/cat/little reindeer on my SUP?

A:

Absolutely. Any dog of any size can go on an SUP.

A larger dog is obviously going to cause more stability issues than a smaller dog so training before getting on the water is a really good idea.

However there are no concerns with weight or issues from their claws.

In fact an inflatable SUP is ideal and very popular for those who want to bring their dog along because it has more traction for them to keep their balance.

Q:

- How much weight can a SUP hold?

A:

On average they can hold around 140kg.

Q:

- What it is and Inflatable Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board?

A:

The stand up paddle or SUP or paddle is a water sport where you are paddling with a paddle in your hands on a big board while standing on it. It exists different type of stand up paddle boards that will correspond to your needs: SUP board for cruising, surfing, racing, fishing, yoga, use in a vivid water such as rivers etc. Stand up paddle board can be used both individually and in a group of people, friends, family.
