ABOUT THIS TOUR

Join us for a guided tour of Santa Claus' secret village, Santa’s Park and enjoy the magic of Lapland with your loved ones.

This is the place where Christmas magic lives year round and where Santa and his joyful elves make presents for children. Get an exclusive sneak peek in the Santa’s office and find out where all letters to Santa go. We will take you to meet the Santa and take part in the ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. On top of that we will take you to Santa’s Park, located 2km from the Village.

We will start our tour with hotel pick-up. We specialize in small tours only, so you can expect a private, family-friendly tour. As we get to the Santa Village you will learn about Posti, Finland's national post service. In Elves’ Post Office you can send warm wishes to a friend or a loved one using the official Arctic Circle stamp! Next, you will get a chance to meet the Santa in his office, take photos, and make memories. After you visited every single stop in the village, it's time for a magical ceremony of Arctic Circle crossing. Although not visible on the map, the Arctic Circle is considered a special place, where magic lives and no stress is allowed. You can roll over the border, jump over it, or elegantly cross it, alone or with your loved one, holding hands, or hugging each other. You will get a certificate of crossing - a special memory you will cherish forever. We will spend about 2.5 hours in Santa’s Village, so you’ll even have time to check out the gift shop and take plenty of photos.

After the Santa’s Village tour we’ll hop back to the van and take a short 2km ride to Santa’s Park. The Park is one of the most popular attractions in Lapland as it takes you straight into the world of Christmas magic. Here you can meet the Elves in their toyshop, or even see them perform a little show for you. There is the famous Mrs. Gingerbread Bakery where you can make cookies with Mrs. Gingerbread herself! You can visit the Ice Gallery, get a drink in the Ice Bar and meet the Ice Princess. Whether you’re travelling with children, or just want to relive your childhood, Santa’s Park will show you that Christmas magic truly exists. Last, but not the least, you can take a Magic Train Ride, visit Elves in their Elf School, and take pictures with lovely Santa Park residents.

FAQ

(See all questions and answers here)

- When is a booking for a tour with Nordic Adventures confirmed?

A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email. If you think you have made a booking and have not received an email confirmation, please send us an e-mail with an inquiry through our contact form, and we will figure this out together.

- How do i pay for a tour with Nordic Adventures?

You can pay through the internet, through our website. This is by far the easiest, safest and fastest way to reserve and pay for your adventure. You will receive a voucher as a confirmation via e-mail which you will need to bring with you for your trip. You will always get a voucher by email: REMEMBER TO PRINT IT OUT AND BRING IT ALONG OR MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN SHOW IT ON YOUR ELECTRONIC DEVICE!

- How do I book a tour with Nordic Adventures and what information do you need from me?

There are a few different ways you can book our trips. First of all, you can book almost all our trips right here on our website. There is a booking window on each tour page and we do recommend that you book and pay for your trip there, preferably in good time as we keep our groups small and some tours tend to sell out.

If the trip you would like to book is not bookable online, you can call or email our office directly, the phone number is +358 40 744 2567. Another way is to send us an e-mail with an inquiry through our contact form. What we need to have is your name, how many people are in your party, where you are staying, a way of contacting you either an e-mail or a phone number and what tour you are trying to book.

- How is it best to be ready for a pick-up for a tour with Nordic Adventures?

This is a nice question. We ask all participants to be ready from the start of the pickup time indicated in the voucher. Please be at your assigned location at the start time that you chose when booking the tour.

Here you should wait for your guide. Have your email and phone number listed with us so we can contact you if we run into any trouble finding you.

- Do you provide transportation to your adventures?

Most of our tours (please see specifications under each tour) include transfers from accommodation in Rovaniemi city area. It is included in the adventure price. Transfers from accommodation places located further out from the city (for example Arctic Snow Hotel, Apukka Resort, Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge Resort) can be arranged at an additional cost.

The pick up is usually 5-20 min before the start of the safari (time in your voucher). Transportation back is immediately after the end of the safari.

We try to provide exact pickup time one day before the start of the tour by email or text message/whats-app, which is why it is important that you provide your valid email and phone number when booking a tour.

Santa Claus Village and private meeting with Santa

This was a lovely morning, my beautiful guide was very knowledgable and gave me a wonderful tour, using my camera to take photos of me crossing the Artic Circle and many many more super photos. She took me to the shops, never pressuring me to buy but showing me everything that was on offer, then she took me to the post office and encouraged me to write post cards and have them mailed back so that they had the official stamp. The highlight was my few minutes with Santa. When asked she told me what to expect so I was prepared and it made for a memorable video. Thank you very very much.
PS She gave me my official certificate for crossing the Artic Circle

Four friends trip!

I would recommend this tour as it will save you a bit of time (rather than doing it DIY, one by one). It is do-able the three activities in one day in santa village becauseeverything is walking distance in there, but if you want to know more infos and trivias, and save time on searching the places where to do activities, and queuing to buy the tickets then i would recommend you to book this one. It includes everything and the guide will answet yout questions. Thanks to our guide Alex, we manage to do everything we want to do in 1 day. We didnt have to line to buy tickets in that cold weather. The trivias and his shop recommendations are interesting and useful!

Fantastic

We had a brilliant day out with a very informative guide. Collected from our apartment and taken to feed the reindeer, we had a sleigh ride followed by a hot drink. Moved on to visit the Huskies, they were wonderful to see, the ride was brilliant. Met Santa and had lots of information throughout from our guide :)

LOVED IT!

The tour itself was soo worth it. We got to ride in a husky carriage (I advise 5km distance), had a tour in the husky farm, got to pet beautiful huskies, sent letters from Santa’s Post Office, see Santa himself, rode in a reindeer carriage, and had an adventure on snowmobile, and entered the ARCTIC!!! Everything from 10:30 till 16:00. I wish we could spend more time in Santa’s Village but everything closed at 17:00.
Alex was a very very helpful and polite person. He was kind enough to arrange additional things that we wanted to add to the tour today! He was very understanding too. Also, he told us about the live video-cam that was installed right where you enter Arctic Circle. He helped us bu taking a lot of our pictures too!!
