I cannot recommend Nordic Adventures highly enough. Our guide - Alex - arrived at our hotel on time to pick us up and drove us to the national park to the start of our tour. As we were a small group Alex asked if we’d prefer to do a longer walking route, which we were delighted with as it gave us more of an experience. Alex pointed out deer and other wildlife along the way. We were very impressed by his knowledge and passion for nature. The traditional Finnish sausage around a fire was a lot better than we’d expected. In all it was a superb experience that was made all the better by having an excellent guide. Thank you!

On the April 14, 2019 my friend and I met Alex Rudyuk, our driver and owner of this extraordinary tour, at the lobby of our hotel.
- It takes roughly 30 min from the center of Rovaniemi to Alex's private estate.
- The traditional woodfire sauna room is situated next to a walkway that leads to the partially melted Lagonlampi lake.
- The whole place is clean and safe. You can walk barefoot without worries.
- Alex gave us a very thorough intruction on how the Finnish enjoy their thermal retreat. His encouragement for us to jump into the frozen cold is reassuring.
- After about 1.5 hour of sauna and cold bath, we were served with a marvelously grilled marinated local salmon. The dining room has a very cozy and homely atmosphere with and open fireplace.
- Alex is a very nice and informative Finnish nature lover local guide who can give you an authentic account of how living in the wild is like in the modern world.
- For me, this is a must if you are visiting Rovaniemi.

Alex was prompt while he picked us from the hotel; though the tour was only for 3 hours and forecast for northern lights was on low level, he made all his efforts to at least have a glance of northern light though our camera.

Alex picked us up at our AirB&B in Rovaniemi rif´ght on time. 8 people in a moinibus travelled to Koruoma national Park, whre he took us past the slighltly overcrowded first fall to impressive spots further on. Impressive winter experience.

Alex picked us up from our hotel and drive us to the zoo. He waited for us and then kindly dropped us off at the train station.
Alex was very friendly and had some good tips. He messaged us after we had booked to confirm the trip.
Very good, highly recommend.
We looked at using public transport but the timetable would have made it an ordeal.
Very reasonably priced not much more than public bus but way easier

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend, auch wenn wir mit den Nordlichtern kein Glück hatten. Es gab warme Getränke für alle und auch Würstchen und Marshmellos zum grillen über dem Feuer. Alex war sehr nett und hat auch bei der Kameraeinstellung geholfen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder eine Tour mit Alex machen.

We enjoy the day in this wildlife park full of polar animals. We were lucky enough to see brown bear just weak up from hibernation and the white fox also which you can see rarely as it camouflage in the snow. Our guide knew a lot about all the animals and it was very interesting listening to her. We also had a wonderful Finnish lunch included in the tour and time to visit the souvenirs shop after. On the way back we also had nice conversation about Finland and their customs and traditions. We really enjoyed the day! Thanks to Nordic adventure.

Our full day tour with Alex was even better than we expected. He's super knowledgable, friendly and happy to tell you as much, or as little, as you want to know about anything. The lunch at the Wildlife Park was delicious and included a generous spread - with vegetarian options as well. The property with the sauna and lake was beautiful! Whilst rolling in the snow or jumping in the frozen lake seemed a little insane, it was a lot of fun and felt amazing. Dinner was incredible - and again, generous. I was so content and so full for the trip home.
Highly recommend this activity for anyone who is interested.

We went on husky and reeindeer tour with Alex, he was a great guide with lots of knowledge and good tips to enjoy the city. Great choice, 100% recomended!
